This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Take charge of product strategy and roadmap focused on organic discovery and AI visibility throughout every site within the platform.
β’ Manage the technical foundations for various generated page types, ensuring optimal crawlability, indexation, rendering, internal linking, structured data, and page performance.
β’ Transform recurring issues and workflows into manageable processes through improved defaults, automation, shared capabilities, or safety nets.
β’ Enhance the legibility of clientsβ brands, listings, and expertise for AI assistants; establish metrics for citations and visibility across answer engines.
β’ Conduct experiments using representative site cohorts, assess incremental impact, and implement effective changes at scale.
β’ Ensure migration quality and prevent regression through established standards, acceptance criteria, and automated verifications.
β’ Collaborate with the website platform team to integrate search functionalities into the platform from the outset.
β’ Offer product teams a seamless approach to rectify search implementations.
β’ Set overarching platform goals for organic performance, AI visibility, and client success.
β’ Report performance metrics against goals to leadership.
β’ More than 8 years of experience in SEO and product management, including a minimum of 3 years as a product manager working closely with engineering teams.
β’ Proven experience managing search for a platform that hosts numerous independent customer domains, such as website builders, hosting or commerce platforms, or multi-location or franchise networks.
β’ Strong technical knowledge in areas such as rendering and JavaScript SEO, crawl and index management, information architecture, structured data, page performance, and migrations.
β’ Experience in designing solutions for website visitors, crawlers, and AI agents.
β’ Proficient in experimentation and measurement techniques, including cohort testing, causal impact analysis, large-scale Search Console data analysis, and log analysis.
β’ Up-to-date knowledge of AI search, including understanding how models discover, interpret, and reference a brand.
β’ Skilled in utilizing AI as a practical tool for system investigations, establishing ground truth, prototyping solutions, and facilitating discovery.
β’ Capability to implement requirements through teams that are not directly managed.
β’ Preferred: experience with website platforms such as Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, WordPress, or Duda.
β’ Preferred: expertise in programmatic or template-driven SEO across extensive page inventories.
β’ Preferred: experience with local and entity-driven search.
β’ Preferred: background in conversion and page experience work in conjunction with acquisition efforts.
β’ Preferred: experience in PropTech, real estate, or another B2B2C sector.
β’ Preferred: experience in developing client-facing reporting or diagnostic tools for a non-technical audience.
