Staff Product Manager, Search Experiences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Establish and steer the product strategy and roadmap for search functionalities in the Firefox Desktop browser, enhancing search engagement and revenue.

• Oversee comprehensive experimentation across browser search access points, default search experiences, and search suggestions.

• Collaborate with Data Science to define clear success metrics and convert insights into actionable strategies.

• Work alongside Business Development to facilitate search partnerships and ensure product execution meets contractual and strategic obligations.

• Partner with Engineering, Research, and Design teams to innovate and deliver cutting-edge search experiences.

• Manage complex trade-offs between user experience, privacy principles, technical limitations, and revenue results in a dynamic search environment.

• Participate in quarterly and annual planning, identifying risks, opportunities, and long-term strategic initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of product management experience, including responsibility for revenue-impacting and user-facing product domains.

• Background in search, discovery, AI/ML-driven products, or related fields.

• Strong grasp of contemporary AI capabilities and their implications for product development.

• Proven track record in leading experimentation initiatives and achieving measurable business results.

• Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency with product analytics tools and SQL.

• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.

• Demonstrated capability to balance user needs, privacy concerns, and business goals.

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders comfortably.
