Staff Product Manager – Enterprise Deployment Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +6 more countries.

📋 Description

• Establish the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Grafana Bring Your Own Cloud and Grafana Federal Cloud.

• Weigh customer value against engineering expenses and technical limitations by leveraging product data and market research.

• Take ownership of positioning, messaging, and differentiation for the products.

• Collaborate with Product Marketing on product launches, competitive analysis, enablement, and demand-generation initiatives.

• Work alongside Engineering and Technical Program Management to facilitate buildouts for deployment environments.

• Manage customer timelines in relation to engineering capacity.

• Engage directly with customers, prospects, and the sales field on strategic opportunities.

• Provide briefings to partners, resellers, and analysts regarding deployment alternatives.

• Collaborate with Security, Compliance, and Legal teams on product modifications that impact authorization or customer commitments.

• Modify Grafana Cloud functionalities for regulated and customer-owned settings.

• Determine feature prioritization for BYOC and Federal Cloud while contributing to the development of future deployment models.

• Utilize AI tools on a daily basis for research, product-signal analysis, and positioning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of product management experience in a technical B2B product, or possess a technical background (software engineering, solutions architecture, SRE, or technical program management) with a proven transition into product ownership.

• Practical experience with a non-standard SaaS deployment model, such as self-managed, air-gapped, sovereign, BYOC, single-tenant, or FedRAMP/government cloud.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, platform software, or developer tools.

• Strong judgment in product development and go-to-market strategies.

• A desire to engage with US public sector clients and understand their needs and purchasing processes.

• Experience in leading cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in a remote, globally distributed setting.

• Bonus: Experience in selling to or developing for US federal, state, or local government clients, or in other highly regulated sectors.

• Bonus: Knowledge of FedRAMP, StateRAMP/GovRAMP, BSI C5, SecNumCloud, AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, AWS European Sovereign Cloud, or GCP Sovereign Cloud.

• Bonus: Experience with pricing and packaging across various deployment models.

• Bonus: Background in observability, monitoring, or data-intensive infrastructure products.

• Bonus: Experience collaborating with resellers, systems integrators, or cloud marketplace partners.

• Bonus: Familiarity with open source software or commercial open source entities.
