Staff Product Manager, Comms Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop the product strategy and roadmap for Comms Plat, aligning customer needs, business priorities, and technical possibilities.

• Enhance Affirm’s communications infrastructure and create unified capabilities across both transactional and marketing communications.

• Oversee intricate platform initiatives from conception through to launch and subsequent adoption.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Marketing, Operations, Design, Analytics, Legal, and Compliance teams.

• Foster relationships within Affirm to proactively address communications needs related to products, markets, and customer journeys.

• Define strategies for channels, platforms, and partnerships, including decisions on building versus buying solutions.

• Balance factors such as customer experience, reliability, scalability, cost, regulatory requirements, and speed.

• Establish success metrics and utilize customer, product, operational, and business data to inform priorities and investment decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years in product management or equivalent experience, demonstrating a history of leading complex products or platforms.

• Experience in developing platform or technically complex products is essential.

• Background in communications or messaging is advantageous, though not mandatory.

• Strong product judgment with the capability to transform complex, ambiguous challenges into a clear strategy and actionable roadmap.

• Technical fluency and the ability to work closely with Engineering on architectural, reliability, scalability, and platform trade-offs.

• Proven success in driving products beyond their launch phase and ensuring adoption across various teams or customer segments.

• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and build consensus among groups with differing priorities and constraints.

• Strong analytical and business judgment, including the ability to assess customer impact, operational complexity, costs, and risks.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfort with ambiguity and adaptability as new information emerges.
