Staff Product Manager – AI, ML

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the product strategy for customer-facing machine learning applications within our flagship offering.

• Connect product strategy to metrics such as customer acquisition costs, cross-selling rates, and engagement goals.

• Create non-deterministic product solutions that center around models.

• Establish criteria and methods for measuring and assessing model performance, including handling probabilistic outputs.

• Conduct experiments and tests to inform decisions regarding product launches.

• Collaborate with machine learning engineers, data scientists, commercial teams, and customer relationship management teams.

• Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing education to those without machine learning or quantitative expertise.

• Weigh the quality of models against business requirements and make practical tradeoffs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven senior product management experience, demonstrating success in product growth, experimentation, or data-driven consumer products.

• Strong quantitative foundation in statistics, measurement for probabilistic systems, or evaluation frameworks for large language models.

• Capability to make informed product decisions specific to machine learning and assess model performance effectively.

• Experience within consumer-facing product environments that feature large user bases and established data and experimentation practices.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability and patience to educate non-technical stakeholders.

• A flexible and pragmatic approach; willing to compromise and act swiftly when necessary.

• Specific travel and participation requirements may apply depending on the role and location.
