This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.
• Collaborate directly with strategic enterprise clients to develop software that enables their AI agents to operate effectively in production environments.
• Create custom integrations and functionalities that are not addressed by Parloa’s AMP platform.
• Lead intricate programs encompassing multiple workstreams and make architectural decisions that affect both Parloa’s platform and the customer’s organization.
• Develop systems of record, telephony and contact center integrations, state management, data readiness, multi-agent orchestration, and retrieval mechanisms.
• Rapidly prototype ambiguous solutions and assess their viability for further development.
• Ensure production quality and security by managing evaluations, production readiness, observability, incident response playbooks, PII, access control, and audit trails.
• Troubleshoot live technical issues and model behavior discrepancies.
• Expand customer accounts through additional use cases, business units, and contract renewals.
• Set delivery benchmarks for engineers on complex accounts and identify functionalities that should be included in the core product.
• Mentor Product Engineers and take part in the interviewing and hiring process.
• Establish criteria for validating AI-assisted tasks prior to production deployment.
• Represent Parloa with senior technical stakeholders, including principal engineers, architects, and security leaders.
• Write and review code weekly as an individual contributor.
• Over 8 years of professional experience in software development, delivering production systems from start to finish.
• Proficient in TypeScript or Python, or capable of achieving proficiency quickly.
• More than 5 years of experience leading the design and architecture of large-scale production systems in customer-facing or enterprise settings, emphasizing reliability, scalability, and failure management.
• Proven experience in leading agentic, specification-driven development in production environments.
• A successful track record with long-term enterprise accounts or rapid experimentation.
• Experience as a mentor or technical lead.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and engaging in customer-facing roles.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to customer locations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience in building or deploying an LLM-powered system used by actual users in production is a plus.
• Practical experience with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, prompt engineering, or multi-agent orchestration is a bonus.
• Background as a founder or founding engineer is an advantage.
• Experience in forward-deployed solutions engineering, product engineering, or strategic partnerships at an enterprise software or AI company is desirable.
• Familiarity with voice or conversational AI, contact center, telephony, or CCaaS integration is a plus.
• Experience in regulated industries such as banking, insurance, or telecommunications is beneficial.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to customer sites, depending on the engagement.
