Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Develop code and play a pivotal role in the creation of software applications, modules, or components.

• Engage in requirements analysis, design, architecture, system integration, testing, and project management.

• Conduct code testing to detect and resolve bugs, ensuring the quality and reliability of software.

• Collaborate with software architects, designers, and product managers to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.

• Design and construct complex, scalable systems.

• Facilitate technical discussions, make key decisions, and foster consensus among team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in Java, including Core Java (Java 11/17+), JVM internals, memory management, tuning, and concurrency/multithreading.

• Experience with Spring, especially Spring Boot.

• Proven track record in designing, developing, and securing robust, scalable REST APIs.

• Proficient with both relational and non-relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.

• Familiarity with Elasticsearch and search/indexing technologies.

• Experience with React, Next.js, and Material UI.

• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT.

• Understanding of AI-directed prompt engineering for application development.

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in software development.

• At least 3 years as a Software Engineer with a focus on designing and building complex, scalable systems.

• In-depth knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, algorithms, and system architecture.

• Capability to lead technical discussions, make crucial decisions, and drive team consensus.

• Experience with cloud technologies and microservices architecture.
