Staff Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement design strategies that align with business goals and meet user needs.

• Oversee the complete design process from research and discovery through to wireframing, prototyping, and final UI execution.

• Perform in-depth user research, usability testing, and A/B testing.

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure smooth design execution.

• Create scalable UI components and contribute to the ongoing development of the design system.

• Promote accessibility and inclusive design practices.

• Design and enhance micro-interactions and motion elements.

• Utilize data-driven insights to enhance user experience and maximize business impact.

• Mentor and support junior designers.

• Keep abreast of fintech trends and best practices to foster product innovation.

• Engage in application and portfolio reviews, recruiter calls, design team interviews, design challenges, and final executive conversations as part of the hiring process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in a senior product design position, with a strong emphasis on UX and a proven track record of leading significant projects.

• Expertise in visual design, typography, grids, layout, and color theory.

• Proficient in interaction design, information architecture, and user flow design.

• Comprehensive understanding of designing for mobile and web platforms, ensuring responsive and adaptive experiences.

• Strong grasp of behavioral psychology and its impact on user decision-making.

• Significant experience in conducting usability testing, user interviews, and heuristic evaluations.

• Ability to merge qualitative and quantitative insights into impactful design choices.

• Familiarity with UX analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and Hotjar.

• Knowledge of atomic design principles and the ability to build scalable UI frameworks.

• Proficient in motion design tools (Lottie, After Effects, Principle) for creating dynamic user experiences.

• Experience in mentoring and guiding junior designers.

• Capability to articulate design rationale and influence stakeholders across various teams.

• Comfortable working within agile and fast-paced product teams.

• Mastery of Figma, with extensive experience in auto layout, design tokens, component variants, interactive prototypes, and scalable design libraries.

• Proven experience in fintech and/or SaaS settings, with a solid understanding of industry challenges and user behaviors.

• Resume and portfolio highlighting your best work, ideally with fintech or SaaS-related projects.

• Portfolio showcasing measurable impact, demonstrating end-to-end product thinking, research, wireframes, prototypes, and final execution.
