Staff / Principal Product Manager, Ranking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the order of search results for mental health providers to enhance successful matches between patients and providers.

• Develop the strategy for search, retrieval, and ranking processes.

• Coordinate with engineering, data science, design, clinical, and executive teams.

• Manage the end-to-end experimentation program, encompassing hypotheses, objective functions, guardrail metrics, and readouts.

• Establish the foundational data, evaluation, and machine learning platforms for future matching initiatives.

• Collaborate daily with ML engineers and data scientists regarding model objectives, features, and evaluation criteria.

• Maintain ranking priorities that consider patient experience, provider growth, clinical quality, and payer partnerships.

• Address competing marketplace priorities between patient access and provider caseload growth.

• Set the benchmark for technically sound product work within the PM team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in product management.

• Proven hands-on experience with search, ranking, recommendations, or large-scale marketplace matching.

• Background in delivering machine learning ranking or relevance systems to actual users.

• Proficiency in designing objective functions, developing features, and evaluating offline versus online performance.

• Capability to engage in architectural discussions with ML engineers.

• Ability to question modeling assumptions and make educated decisions regarding build versus buy options.

• Experience navigating marketplace trade-offs and opportunity distribution.

• Knowledge of embeddings, semantic search, and products powered by large language models.

• Experience in presenting strategies to executives and effectively handling challenging inquiries.
