Staff Platform Engineer – Core Cloud Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership, manage, and enhance the Cloud and Kubernetes-based Platform.

• Continuously enhance the security, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and performance of the infrastructure.

• Advocate for standards and lead initiatives to promote consistency and eliminate redundancy.

• Partner with Product teams to empower them in building and managing their services.

• Collaborate with SRE and DevEx Platform teams to develop a cohesive and high-quality Platform.

• Facilitate self-service and autonomous workflow patterns that support a Build it - Own it model.

• Develop tools and AI-driven integrations that minimize the cognitive complexity of intricate infrastructure operations.

• Provide support for systems catering to a globally distributed Engineering organization.

• Execute, automate, and assist with operational tasks on complex, mission-critical systems.

• Design, architect, and implement straightforward, maintainable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and AWS cloud.

• Demonstrated history of operating Kubernetes and cloud-based production SaaS systems at scale.

• Profound understanding of networking, production-level service meshes, and gateways.

• Strong operational and troubleshooting capabilities with Kubernetes, databases, messaging systems, and storage layers.

• Expertise in Python and Golang, ideally shown through infrastructure tooling, Kubernetes operators, or control plane components.

• Highly effective CI/CD practices that support autonomous workflows.

• Capacity and enthusiasm to design, lead, influence, and deliver ambitious technical roadmaps.

• Nice to have: experience managing large Kubernetes-cluster fleets with lifecycle management tools like CAPI or Rancher.

• Nice to have: practical experience with HashiCorp Vault or similar secret management systems.

• Nice to have: familiarity with GCP and Azure.
