📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the platform that drives Resend, ensuring robust infrastructure and tools for engineers.

• Architect and manage scalable cloud infrastructure, primarily utilizing AWS, with an emphasis on reliability, performance, and security.

• Streamline operational tasks and create self-service workflows.

• Set platform standards and frameworks for consistent service development, deployment, and management.

• Enhance reliability and observability throughout Resend.

• Engage in incident response and transform operational challenges into sustainable improvements.

• Collaborate with engineers across Resend to address infrastructure and platform challenges and create reusable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, platform development, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

• Extensive experience in managing production infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi.

• Knowledge of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure, including queues, workers, databases, caching, networking, and load balancing.

• Strong proficiency with AWS.

• Significant experience in observability and monitoring using tools like Datadog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.

• Comfortable working across the technology stack, from load balancers and networking to delivery pipelines.

• Ability to work independently, assume responsibility, communicate trade-offs effectively, and know when to seek assistance.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Capability to consistently align with Americas working hours.

• Experience in operating high-throughput systems at scale.

• Experience in developing internal platforms, developer tools, or self-service infrastructure.

• Familiarity with developer tools, public APIs, or email infrastructure.

• Extensive experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Go, and Postgres.
