This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.
• Interpret prescriptions from physicians and prescribers.
• Reach out to physicians and patients to confirm prescription details and streamline order processing.
• Provide consultation to patients regarding medication usage and possible drug interactions.
• Contact physicians for new authorizations and transfer requests.
• Work alongside physicians to switch prescriptions to generic or preferred alternatives whenever feasible.
• Monitor the status of orders and address any outstanding issues.
• Manage customer inquiries concerning lost orders or dispensing mistakes.
• Maintain daily standards for production, quality, and service.
• Adjust work priorities and tasks based on business requirements.
• Supervise and ensure quality assurance for pharmacy technicians.
• Verify the validity of controlled substances.
• Confirm prescription details entered by data entry or order entry personnel.
• Provide backup support to other pharmacists as needed.
• Mentor less experienced pharmacists.
• Execute additional tasks assigned by management.
• Must be a resident and hold a license in Arizona, Indiana, Florida, or Ohio.
• A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required.
• PharmD is preferred.
• Current active resident pharmacist license in good standing is necessary.
• Strong advanced problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Capability to read and interpret prescriptions accurately.
• Strong emphasis on customer service, quality, and precision.
• Ability to manage timelines and meet strict client deadlines.
• Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule during peak volume times.
• Commitment to an 8–10 week training period and future assigned schedules.
• Access to home internet via cable broadband or fiber optic service with a minimum of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed.
