This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.
• Interpret prescriptions from physicians and prescribers.
• Reach out to physicians, prescribers, and patients to confirm prescription details and facilitate order processing.
• Advise patients on medication use and possible drug interactions.
• Monitor order status and address any outstanding issues.
• Manage customer inquiries related to lost orders or dispensing errors.
• Ensure maintenance of daily production, quality, and service standards.
• Adjust work priorities and tasks to meet business demands.
• Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.
• Verify the legitimacy of controlled substances.
• Confirm prescription details entered by data entry or order entry personnel.
• Collaborate with physicians to switch prescriptions to generic or preferred alternatives when feasible.
• Support other pharmacists as necessary.
• Mentor less experienced pharmacists.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
• A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required; a PharmD is preferred.
• Must hold a current active resident pharmacist license in good standing.
• Possess advanced problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions accurately.
• A strong emphasis on customer service, quality, and precision.
• Ability to manage timelines and adhere to tight client deadlines.
• Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule during peak volume times.
• Must reside and be licensed in Arizona, Indiana, Florida, or Ohio.
• Commitment to an 8–10 week training program and future schedules is required.
• A home internet connection via cable broadband or fiber optic service with minimum speeds of 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload is necessary.
