Staff Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Interpret the prescriptions provided by physicians and prescribers.

• Reach out to physicians for new authorizations and transfers.

• Communicate with doctors and patients to confirm prescription details and accelerate order processing.

• Advise patients on medication usage and possible drug interactions.

• Work alongside physicians to switch prescriptions to generic or preferred medications whenever feasible.

• Monitor order status and address any outstanding issues.

• Manage customer inquiries regarding lost orders or dispensing mistakes.

• Maintain daily production, quality, and service standards.

• Provide oversight and quality assurance for pharmacy technicians.

• Confirm the validity of controlled substances.

• Validate prescription information entered by data or order entry staff.

• Support other pharmacists and mentor less experienced colleagues.

• Adjust work priorities and tasks to meet business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is mandatory.

• Must possess a current active resident pharmacist license in good standing.

• Strong advanced problem-solving skills are essential.

• Proven ability to collaborate with other departments to resolve issues effectively.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting prescriptions.

• A strong emphasis on customer service, quality, and accuracy.

• Capable of managing timelines and adhering to tight deadlines.

• Ability to adapt to a changing work environment is necessary.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule during peak volume periods.

• Candidates should reside and hold a license in Arizona, Indiana, Florida, Ohio, or Tennessee.

• Home working requires cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with a minimum of 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload speed.
