Staff Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Interpret prescriptions from physicians and prescribers.

• Reach out to physicians and patients to confirm prescription details and expedite order fulfillment.

• Consult with patients on medication usage and possible drug interactions.

• Contact physicians for new and transfer authorization requests.

• Work with physicians to switch prescriptions to generic or preferred medications when feasible.

• Monitor order status and address any outstanding issues.

• Manage customer inquiries regarding lost orders or dispensing mistakes.

• Maintain daily production, quality, and service standards.

• Adjust work priorities and activities to meet business demands.

• Provide oversight and quality assurance for pharmacy technicians.

• Verify controlled substances and prescription information entered into the system.

• Serve as backup for other pharmacists as necessary.

• Mentor less experienced pharmacists.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Applicants must be residents and hold licenses in Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, or Pennsylvania.

• A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required.

• PharmD is preferred.

• Current active resident pharmacist license in good standing is necessary.

• Approximately 8 weeks of training is required, with a commitment to the assigned training and future schedules.

• Strong problem-solving skills are essential.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Capability to read and interpret prescriptions accurately.

• A strong emphasis on customer service, quality, and precision.

• Proficiency in managing timelines and adhering to tight client deadlines.

• Flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule during peak volume periods.

• Reliable home internet service through cable broadband or fiber optic with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speeds.
