Staff Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Interpret prescriptions from physicians and prescribers.

• Consult with patients regarding medication usage and possible drug interactions.

• Reach out to physicians for new or transfer authorizations.

• Work in collaboration with physicians to switch prescriptions to generic or preferred medications whenever feasible.

• Contact doctors and patients to confirm prescription details and expedite the processing of orders.

• Monitor order statuses and address any outstanding issues.

• Address customer inquiries related to lost orders or dispensing mistakes.

• Maintain daily production, quality, and service standards.

• Oversee and ensure quality assurance for pharmacy technicians.

• Validate the legitimacy of controlled substances.

• Confirm prescription information entered through data or order entry systems.

• Support other pharmacists and carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

• Mentor and train less experienced pharmacists.

• Complete an eight-week training program; training hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5pm ET.

• Follow assigned schedules after training, including weekday shifts and a Saturday rotation every other week with a weekday off.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required; a PharmD is preferred.

• Must hold a current and active resident pharmacist license in good standing.

• Candidates must be residents and licensed in Arizona, Indiana, Florida, Ohio, or Tennessee.

• Strong advanced problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with other departments to resolve issues.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting prescriptions.

• A strong emphasis on customer service, quality, and accuracy.

• Ability to manage timelines and adhere to tight client deadlines.

• Adaptability to work in a changing environment.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule during peak volume periods.

• Home internet connection through a cable broadband or fiber optic provider with a minimum of 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload speed.
