Staff Mobile Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and enhance the long-term architecture for React Native and native iOS applications.

• Oversee architecture evaluations and set engineering standards and best practices across the mobile platform.

• Make pivotal technical decisions regarding scalability, performance, security, and developer productivity.

• Create reusable platform components and native modules to enhance engineering efficiency.

• Collaborate with engineering leadership to influence the mobile technology roadmap.

• Spearhead the execution of complex, mission-critical mobile projects.

• Enhance application performance, reliability, memory usage, and battery efficiency.

• Propel testing strategies, release quality, and CI/CD advancements across the mobile platform.

• Advocate for observability, monitoring, and operational excellence in mobile applications.

• Mentor both senior and junior engineers.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, Platform, and Security teams to deliver scalable solutions.

• Direct technical planning for cross-team projects and foster agreement on architectural decisions.

• Record architectural choices, technical standards, and engineering best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in mobile development.

• 5+ years of experience in production React Native development.

• Expert-level proficiency in Swift and native iOS development.

• In-depth understanding of iOS SDK, UIKit, SwiftUI, application lifecycle, memory management, and concurrency.

• Strong command of JavaScript/TypeScript and contemporary React Native architecture.

• Experience in designing scalable mobile architectures, reusable platform components, and styling systems using Uniwind /Tailwind.

• Solid understanding of mobile security, performance optimization, and reliability.

• Experience leading architecture for large-scale production mobile applications.

• Expertise in App Store release management and mobile platform governance.

• Strong grasp of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.

• Experience balancing React Native and native development based on technical needs.

• Knowledge of mobile security best practices, including encryption, deep linking, push notifications, and background processing.

• Proficient in Git version control and collaborative workflows.

• Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL integration.

• Familiarity with testing frameworks and mobile automation strategies.

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Expo, GitLab).

• Experience with performance monitoring and observability tools.
