This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
β’ Collaborate with client engineering teams to implement integrations within their codebases utilizing OpenLoop's Partner API.
β’ Take ownership of client integration results from the go-live stage and throughout the subsequent weeks.
β’ Detect platform deficiencies, document them with representative endpoints, and outline time-sensitive workarounds as needed.
β’ Create and deploy backend and frontend systems that facilitate client development with AI integration.
β’ Develop SDKs, reference implementations, command-line interfaces (CLIs), machine-readable documentation, and agent-based API workflows.
β’ Design processes for human review, conduct pre-launch assessments, and implement post-launch monitoring for AI solutions.
β’ Manage the deployment agent roster, ensuring readiness, conformance checks, seeding validation, documentation accuracy, gap identification, and communication drafts.
β’ Transform client-specific requirements into reusable templates, checks, manifests, impact analyses, API standards, and roadmap documentation.
β’ Refine ambiguous or overly ambitious client requests into phased, defensible project scopes.
β’ Safeguard live clients from breaking changes through checks, manifests, compatibility periods, and proposal processes.
β’ Act as the technical representative with client engineering leadership, platform teams, and sales departments.
β’ Guide FDEs and deployment strategists while contributing to the development of the deployment playbook.
β’ A minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience, particularly in delivering solutions directly to external customers or partners within their environments.
β’ Proven track record in end-to-end management of intricate, customer-facing technical projects.
β’ In-depth expertise in integration engineering, including API design and utilization, authentication, webhooks versus polling, idempotency, rate limits, pagination, schema drift, reconciliation, and cloud infrastructure.
β’ Daily experience in building with AI agents, validating their outputs, assessing LLM-based systems, and recognizing when to cease reliance on them.
β’ Proficient in managing sensitive data with a strong focus on security.
β’ Exceptional communication skills tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment regarding project scope, including the ability to de-scope, sequence, or decline tasks.
β’ Evidence of creating leverage through SDKs, tools, checks, reference implementations, or best practices.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred).
β’ Preferred: Experience in healthcare or regulated domains.
β’ Preferred: Hands-on experience in deploying LLM-based or agent-driven systems.
β’ Preferred: Background in developer platforms with SDKs, CLIs, API standards, and verified documentation.
β’ Preferred: Familiarity with EHR, scheduling, pharmacy, or payment integrations; knowledge of FHIR is a plus.
β’ Preferred: Experience working with sales or solutions teams in technical discussions during pre-sales.
