This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the engineering liaison for programs across renewable generation, transmission, storage, gas generation, and data center infrastructure.
• Oversee program engineering implementation for large-scale integrated energy campuses from initial development through to project execution.
• Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external engineers, designers, and integration partners.
• Interact with internal engineering groups and third-party design firms to produce Issued for Construction drawings.
• Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and design modifications; assist with commissioning and as-built documentation.
• Ensure that designs comply with contractual, technical, safety, and quality standards.
• Organize and lead design reviews at each key milestone in the design process.
• Coordinate and integrate technical activities across various engineering projects and services.
• Direct, evaluate, or approve project designs and technology implementation.
• Spearhead global engineering department initiatives.
• Collaborate with project managers during construction to convey design intentions and audit requirements.
• Assess cost implications of design alterations and relay information to project management and procurement teams.
• Work alongside survey, geotechnical, civil, hydrology, SWPPP, and structural engineering teams.
• Maintain engineering project schedules and budgets effectively.
• Review and authorize project materials, securing approvals from the Engineer of Record.
• Ensure precise material takeoffs for procurement processes.
• Organize regular conference calls among relevant stakeholders.
• Guarantee adherence to ASTM, OSHA, NESC, NEC, NFPA, and other safety regulations.
• Ensure design outputs align with procurement and project timelines.
• Evaluate project modifications and offer suggestions.
• Conduct economic analyses and perform value engineering tasks.
• Travel as needed to support site teams and lead design evaluations.
• Identify areas for work optimization and waste reduction.
• Assist with additional projects and fulfill other assigned responsibilities.
• A bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution is required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification is preferred.
• A minimum of six years of progressive engineering experience, including engineering supervision and/or construction/field experience in a related sector is required.
• A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle driving record (MVR) are necessary.
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, listening, presentation) are essential.
• Understanding of business and management principles related to planning, resource allocation, leadership, production methodologies, and coordination of personnel/resources.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities are required.
• Willingness to travel for project-related purposes; travel is estimated at up to 25% of the time.
• Experience focused on combined renewables and gas generation.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license with a specialization in electrical engineering is preferred.
• Advanced understanding of equipment and practices used in power plant construction.
• Must possess valid, independent work authorization; the company is unable to sponsor H-1B visas or permanent residency.
