This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise the preparation and examination of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.
• Ensure the timely and precise submission of financial reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and reporting obligations.
• Coordinate and oversee regulatory filings, including SEC Forms 10-Q and 10-K, as well as other statutory reports.
• Lead the external audit process and serve as the primary contact for auditors.
• Address audit findings and implement recommendations to enhance internal controls and reporting procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, streamline workflows, and automate reporting tasks.
• Develop and put into practice best practices for financial reporting.
• Manage and mentor professionals in financial reporting.
• Conduct performance reviews and offer training and development opportunities.
• Analyze financial results, trends, and variances, providing insights to senior management.
• Collaborate with accounting, tax, treasury, and FP&A teams.
• Prepare Form 10-Qs and Form 10-Ks, including financial statements and notes, in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC guidelines.
• Assist with Form 8-Ks, Proxy Statements, and other SEC filings.
• Perform closing activities and prepare both recurring and non-recurring journal entries for corporate or technical accounting functions.
• Support technical accounting projects, including equity award valuation, lease modifications, goodwill impairment testing, and the adoption of new accounting pronouncements.
• Participate in or lead special and cross-functional projects.
• Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes and initiate automation projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or auditing.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in financial reporting software and ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
• Advanced skills in Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Must meet physical requirements, including extended periods of sitting, computer usage, typing, and frequent use of a keyboard and mouse.
