This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive design and implementation of Rula's transition to Snowflake.

• Develop structural frameworks and Medallion execution playbooks tailored for domain pods.

• Serve as a technical liaison between engineering efforts and business objectives.

• Negotiate technical parameters with leadership and set up intake guidelines.

• Steer the vision for the data landscape.

• Manage Snowflake compute-cost profiling and the performance of global warehouses.

• Set and maintain financial and operational standards for cloud infrastructure.

• Design, construct, and enforce automated CI/CD testing gates within GitHub.

• Identify query regressions, schema anomalies, and inefficient code prior to pull request compilation.

• Promote the use of AI-assisted tools throughout the organization.

• Transform prompt banks into products, integrate AI into CI/CD code reviews, and automate boilerplate code generation.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data architecture, or data engineering.

• Demonstrated success operating at a systems level to advance organization-wide data strategies, cross-domain workflows, or platform architecture.

• Experience in leading architectural design, optimization, or migration of contemporary cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.

• Proficient in SQL at an expert level.

• Practical experience in designing data models utilizing Medallion architectures.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with dbt to develop, orchestrate, and test production-grade ELT pipelines.

• Extensive knowledge of production Git workflows.

• Proven capability to design, construct, and enforce automated CI/CD testing gates.

• Experience in bridging technical execution with business strategy.

• Strong decision-making skills to identify risks, discuss trade-offs, and negotiate intake guidelines with leadership.

• Must reside within the United States; currently not hiring in Hawaii.
