Senior Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, optimize, and manage the retrieval, storage, and distribution of extensive data sets.

• Facilitate data-driven business operations and deliver actionable insights via dashboards, reports, and self-service visualization tools.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain data architecture, ELT processes, logical and physical data models, data marts, metadata repositories, and data warehouse designs.

• Enhance data retrieval processes and create algorithms to boost reliability, efficiency, and quality.

• Maintain the business glossary and resources to support collaborative efforts across different functions regarding analytical data.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to identify requirements, enhance delivery, and automate business processes.

• Provide technical expertise and develop as well as test proofs of concept.

• Cross-train and collaborate with Data Scientists, Systems Analysts, and Report Developers.

• Guide junior analytics engineers and ensure compliance with engineering standards, testing methodologies, and performance optimization.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, engineering, or a related IT field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

• High school diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent GED.

• 5 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 3 years in data analytics engineering, including experience in business intelligence, data warehousing, or analytics.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring a work visa or residency sponsorship.

• Proficient in architecting, developing, and maintaining cloud technologies.

• Familiarity with relational and dimensional modeling.

• Ability to develop, maintain, review, and translate data models effectively.

• Strong skills in SQL, procedures, ELT implementations, and cloud databases.

• Experience in managing moderately complex analytics engineering solutions from start to finish.

• Knowledge of the Pharmacy Benefit Management / Healthcare ecosystem.

• DBT certification or equivalent experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with GitHub and Jira is preferred.

• Programming experience in Python and R is preferred.

• Experience with GCP and BigQuery is preferred.

• Familiarity with common BI tools and cloud products is preferred.
