Senior Software Engineer, Data Insights

📋 Description

• Design and implement modular, maintainable software solutions that are optimized for both performance and scalability.

• Facilitate discussions on feature and epic design while integrating feedback from cross-functional teams.

• Lead technical decision-making processes in alignment with business goals and customer requirements.

• Analyze and collaborate to identify and resolve technical ambiguities.

• Take ownership of medium to large-scale projects from inception to delivery with minimal oversight.

• Collaborate with various teams to identify and manage technical dependencies.

• Create and execute project plans that align with business objectives.

• Ensure software quality is maintained while adhering to project timelines.

• Advocate for best practices in software development, testing, and deployment methodologies.

• Enhance CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and monitoring systems.

• Perform actionable code reviews to ensure code quality.

• Lead efforts in reducing technical debt and refactoring legacy code.

• Mentor junior engineers on best practices and contemporary development techniques.

• Promote knowledge sharing through code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions.

• Address conflicts and escalate issues as necessary.

• Shape technical direction using expertise and well-reasoned arguments.

• Contribute to the development, production support, troubleshooting, automation, and continuous improvement of the Data Insights platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Demonstrated success in leading significant technical initiatives.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Collaborative attitude with the ability to influence colleagues.

• Flexible approach to evolving requirements and priorities.

• High proficiency in software development languages and frameworks.

• Proven experience with agile development methodologies.

• Knowledge of techniques for performance optimization.

• Familiarity with C#, SQL, or another contemporary object-oriented programming language.

• Comprehensive understanding of system architecture principles.

• Availability to work five days a week during designated hours.

• Capability to sit for prolonged periods, typically 7–8 hours daily.

• Ability to operate computer and phone systems, type, and utilize multiple software programs concurrently.
