This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Develop and enhance data pipelines and analytical tools for scalability.
• Take ownership of and improve core platform assets, Analytics Engineering tools, reusable frameworks, and automation processes.
• Contribute to the modular agentic Analytics Engineering delivery framework.
• Create and uphold semantic models for analytics and AI applications.
• Construct internal AI agents and data-driven tools utilizing RPC-based functionalities via MCP servers.
• Design and execute cost strategies for shared data assets, pipelines, and computational resources.
• Establish and implement scalable data ingestion, replication, and transfer methodologies.
• Promote innovation by leveraging emerging technologies and industry developments.
• Provide technical leadership to support the professional growth of the team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address business challenges through technical solutions.
• Develop scalable data models for analyzing critical components of the HubSpot business.
• Enhance dbt patterns and macros to create flexible and extensible data frameworks.
• Foster data observability and pipeline reliability using tools such as Monte Carlo.
• Set scalable standards for the development of analytical applications in Hex.
• Lead working groups, define requirements, and oversee projects throughout their entire lifecycle.
• Maintain thorough documentation of data pipelines, processes, and best practices.
• In-depth knowledge of contemporary data tools like Snowflake, dbt, and Looker.
• Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, ETL, ELT, and data transformation techniques.
• Advanced proficiency in dbt, including sophisticated modeling patterns, macros, and package development.
• Experience in creating slowly changing dimension (SCD) tables from various sources.
• Proven track record in leading complex, cross-functional data projects from initial ambiguity to production.
• Background in building or maintaining shared data platform assets, developer toolkits, or internal frameworks.
• Experience in designing semantic models or metric layers for analytics or AI utilization.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, including agentic pipeline design and composable, skill-based workflows.
• Ability to develop AI agents and integrate external tools and services through MCP servers.
• Experience with version control systems such as GitHub Enterprise Cloud.
• A DevOps mindset characterized by automation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and a focus on user needs and iterative processes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical solutions into business language.
• Knowledge of Python is a plus but not mandatory.
