Senior AI Solutions Engineer, Data Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage applications and services powered by LLM technology, including agentic workflows, retrieval/RAG systems, and classification pipelines.

• Construct systems utilizing catalog, sales, and operational data.

• Establish and oversee MCP servers and tool integrations that connect AI models and assistants to internal data and systems in a safe and reliable manner.

• Take ownership of services from start to finish, encompassing architecture, implementation, deployment, evaluation, and monitoring within AWS/Databricks.

• Assess new AI tools and methodologies, conduct structured pilots, and spearhead the adoption of effective solutions.

• Enhance the team's AI engineering expertise through collaborative sessions, internal demonstrations, partnerships with scientists, and internal tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in building and delivering production-quality software.

• Practical experience with machine learning or AI systems.

• Proficiency in establishing MCP servers or similar tool integration layers for AI assistants.

• Familiarity with cloud ML platforms like AWS and Databricks.

• Experience working with model APIs, including Bedrock, Anthropic, and OpenAI.

• Knowledge of vector databases.

• Experience applying AI/ML techniques to commercial challenges such as demand forecasting, pricing, sales and marketing optimization, recommendation systems, or search functionalities.

• A background in media, publishing, or other content-intensive fields.

• Proven expertise with retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, prompt engineering, agentic methodologies, and rigorous evaluation of generative systems.

• Strong skills in Python programming.

• Experience with version control, testing methodologies, and continuous integration.

• An advanced degree (MS/PhD) in computer science, machine learning, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Excellent communication skills with the capability to teach and elevate team members.
