This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Develop SQL scripts to convert raw data into structured datasets for use in dashboards as part of a data pipeline.

• Maintain existing reporting capabilities and create new reports and dashboard functionalities.

• Design and implement SQL data models that link to a source dataset.

• Create a dashboard using Looker Studio.

• Work with stakeholders to validate the dashboard and present the insights gathered.

• Perform data quality assessments and identify as well as resolve common data issues.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that dashboard outputs effectively address the business questions posed.

• Deliver findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Utilize AI coding tools to enhance productivity while ensuring comprehension, verification, and explanation of all code.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Basic understanding of SQL, including comfort with SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, and simple aggregation functions.

• Fundamental knowledge of version control concepts, including the use of Git.

• Preferred: Experience with a BI/visualization tool (Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI).

• Preferred: Familiarity with the GitLab or GitHub merge request/pull request workflow.

• Preferred: Exposure to web application, marketing, or financial/media datasets.

• Preferred: Previous experience using AI coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) for academic or personal projects.
