This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee financial protocols and accurately record transactions pertaining to assets, liabilities, income, and expenditures.
• Prepare, process, and enter journal entries into the system.
• Reconcile various financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
• Conduct account analyses to pinpoint and clarify variances.
• Organize documentation and maintain supporting files, including necessary approvals.
• Facilitate responses to internal and external audit inquiries.
• Coordinate with the bank and other relevant entities as needed.
• Undertake backup responsibilities within the department.
• Generate intricate balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial documentation.
• Evaluate costs, revenues, financial obligations, and commitments to aid in budgeting efforts.
• Mentor and offer support to junior accountants.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of pertinent work experience.
• Familiarity with systems and processes associated with treasury and financial management.
• Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving aptitude.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Proactive attitude and well-developed organizational skills.
• Capacity to manage oneself while adapting to shifting tasks and priorities.
• Excellent typing skills and proficiency in 10-key entry by touch.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Advanced Excel skills preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus.
• Background in insurance is an advantage.
• Remote work arrangement.
