This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise monthly allocations and the processes related to software capitalization.
• Examine the monthly close trial balance and financial statements; record and assess adjusting entries while collaborating on adjustments with the accounting team.
• Act as the internal expert on equity accounting, encompassing 409A valuations, stock-based compensation, and deferred fulfillment issues.
• Oversee technical accounting for intangible assets, goodwill, leases, and fixed assets, which includes impairment analysis, compliance with standards, asset tracking, and writing accounting memos.
• Manage intercompany transactions and their eliminations between the parent company and its subsidiaries.
• Direct the transition and phasing out of legacy systems and processes from acquired entities into accounting systems; assist with due diligence and future M&A integration.
• Collaborate with business units and FP&A to provide commentary for monthly and quarterly financial statements, Audit Committee materials, and management reporting inquiries.
• Work with Tax on income tax data requests, compliance with state sales tax, and business tax filings.
• Serve as the Workday system expert for the accounting team, aiding in configuration, troubleshooting, and process enhancements.
• Support the annual audit, annual financial statements, and related disclosures.
• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders from FP&A, Tax, Legal, IT Systems, and Engineering.
• Act as the AI champion for the accounting team, promoting process efficiencies.
• Build and nurture a high-performing accounting team while creating professional development opportunities.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
• Experience with a Big 4 firm and CPA certification is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial position.
• Proficiency with Workday, Looker, Microsoft Suite, GSuite, or another large ERP system.
• Proven experience in a public company setting, demonstrating readiness for and involvement in an Initial Public Offering (IPO).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly regarding complex transactions like mergers and acquisitions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on active listening and the ability to convey complex issues to diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational skills; adept at prioritizing competing projects, working under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
• High emotional intelligence and the ability to establish and maintain relationships across various levels, both within and outside the finance department.
• Proven track record of mentoring and developing talent.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
• Consistent and timely attendance at the assigned work location.
• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment.
• Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Sufficient eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, computer, and other office-related equipment.
• Capacity to occasionally exert around 20 lbs. of force, such as lifting a computer or laptop.
• Ability to interact appropriately with leadership, employees, and team members.
