Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare and record journal entries for non-revenue categories, including prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.

• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and address any reconciling discrepancies.

• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

• Record daily cash transactions and carry out bank reconciliations.

• Support fixed asset accounting, which encompasses additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.

• Manage accounts payable processes comprehensively and assist with expense-related accounting.

• Aid in maintaining and enhancing internal controls and documentation.

• Contribute to schedules and support for external audits and internal reviews.

• Identify opportunities to optimize and automate recurring accounting tasks.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A and Accounting team members on ad hoc requests and analyses.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 4–6 years of pertinent accounting experience, whether in public accounting or industry.

• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and general ledger accounting practices.

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.

• Familiarity with Expense Software (e.g., Navan, Expensify, Brex).

• Experience with Tax Software (e.g., Avalara, Anrok).

• Ability to leverage and tailor AI/LLM tools (e.g., Gemenia, Claude) for daily tasks, along with general fluency in AI-assisted workflows.

• Strong attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

• A proactive self-starter who takes initiative and seeks to advance into a Senior Accountant position.

• Experience with international accounting and IFRS reporting standards is advantageous.
