This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Support the daily accounts-related functions of the Finance Department.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for the group based on the trial balance.
• Reconcile all control account balances on a monthly basis.
• Generate overhead accruals and prepayments for all entities.
• Accurately process group recharges each month.
• Serve as a finance business partner to operational and departmental leaders.
• Offer financial insights, challenge assumptions, and provide support for decision-making.
• Deliver financial analysis, KPIs, and commentary to departmental managers.
• Assist in the preparation and consolidation of the annual budget.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns for approval.
• Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary information.
• Analyze project expenditures and communicate findings to project managers.
• Aid in overhead analysis utilizing Excel.
• Assist in the year-end audit and annual verification of work-in-progress.
• Complete ad hoc project tasks as directed by the Financial Controller.
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial accounts and reporting in line with accounting standards and Group policies.
• Assist with budgeting and cash flow management, monitor risks, and support the effective utilization of financial resources.
• Perform additional duties as requested by the Senior Management Team.
• Must be a qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA professional.
• Proven experience in business partnering with non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience in supporting annual budgeting processes and in-year forecasting/reforecasting.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, along with good skills in Word and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated administrative capabilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Skill in interpreting financial data and clearly communicating findings to non-financial audiences.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with exceptional attention to detail.
• Capable of planning, prioritizing, and managing multiple workloads effectively.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and maintain composure under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity at all times.
• Familiarity with Sage products, particularly Sage Intacct, is desirable.
• Previous experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
• Applicants must be residents of the UK.
• Occasional travel for face-to-face meetings within the UK may be necessary.
