Cash Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute daily cash postings across various bank accounts and entities.

• Oversee cash balances while identifying discrepancies, unusual transactions, or timing issues.

• Assist the Treasury team with daily cash position reporting and liquidity analysis.

• Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations for over 40 accounts.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances related to bank accounts.

• Manage cash-related journal entries, which include bank fees, interest, credit card transactions, and cash adjustments.

• Support variance analysis and clarify cash movement along with timing differences.

• Ensure that cash transactions adhere to GAAP and internal policies.

• Handle large transaction datasets across ERP, billing, and payment-processing platforms.

• Maintain cash clearing accounts effectively.

• Identify and promote enhancements in cash-process efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.

• Maintain thorough documentation and audit trails for cash-related activities.

• Assist in both internal and external audits.

• Collaborate with Treasury, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Revenue Accounting to address discrepancies and ensure correct allocation and classification.

• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners, including banks and payment providers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in cash accounting or accounts receivable within a high-volume, multi-entity environment.

• Experience in managing large transaction datasets and various payment channels.

• Proficient in ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.

• Familiarity with payment processors for cash receipts and accounts payable systems, preferably Coupa.

• Strong attention to detail and the capability to handle competing priorities.

• Experience with automation tools or system integrations is advantageous.

• Demonstrated critical thinking skills and the ability to approach challenges innovatively.
