Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the maintenance of financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.

• Prepare standard journal entries and assist with month-end closing procedures under supervision.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any variances or discrepancies.

• Aid in the documentation and implementation of accounting procedures and internal controls.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy of financial data.

• Address basic financial and accounting inquiries by collecting and organizing relevant data.

• Assist with both internal and external audits by preparing schedules and necessary documentation.

• Identify and report discrepancies, errors, or process gaps to senior team members.

• Engage in process improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements for efficiency.

• Provide support for ad hoc accounting and finance projects as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or 4 years of relevant experience is required.

• 0–2 years of accounting or relevant internship experience.

• Basic knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas such as xlookup and sumif, along with pivot tables is preferred.

• Experience with Netsuite and Blackline is preferred.

• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

• Capacity to adhere to established processes and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven willingness to learn, follow direction, and grow professionally.

• Ability to analyze data and detect discrepancies with guidance.

• Flexibility and receptiveness to feedback.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Capable of sitting, standing, bending, talking, hearing, and walking.

• Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

• Adept vision capabilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception; ability to adjust focus.
