This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Facilitate an accurate and timely month-end close by preparing journal entries and performing balance sheet reconciliations for cash, prepaids, accruals, intercompany, fixed assets, and various general ledger accounts.
• Manage close workflows, track tasks, and execute balance sheet reconciliations using Numeric.
• Supervise corporate card transactions, employee expense reimbursements, and accounts payable processes utilizing Ramp.
• Reconcile subscription billing, SaaS metrics, and payment gateway transactions within Maxio.
• Maintain records of equity transactions, stock-based compensation schedules, and capitalization table reporting in Carta.
• Oversee calculations for monthly variable compensation and ensure proper accounting treatment in accordance with ASC 340.
• Ensure that accounting records, policies, and operational processes comply with US GAAP while maintaining effective internal controls.
• Collaborate across departments to gather transaction details, investigate reconciling items, and resolve operational discrepancies.
• Assist in the annual financial statement audit, tax filings, and external compliance obligations.
• Support ad-hoc financial reporting, system enhancements, and special projects.
• Report directly to the Controller.
• Proficient in AI concepts—possessing a working knowledge of key principles such as LLMs, agents, copilots, tokens, credits, context windows, RAG, and data governance as they relate to accounting, financial operations, and workflow automation.
• Active CPA license is mandatory.
• Over 3 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field of study.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, month-end close processes, and best practices in account reconciliation.
• Direct, hands-on experience with contemporary cloud ERP systems, with NetSuite being preferred.
• Practical experience with modern financial and accounting tools such as Ramp, Numeric, Maxio, and Carta, or similar platforms.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• High attention to detail and the capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Previous public accounting experience at a Big 4 firm or a national firm is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with technical accounting areas including ASC 606, ASC 340, and equity accounting is advantageous.
• Must reside anywhere in the United States.
• Must possess legal eligibility to work in the United States.
• The role requires at least two years of valid U.S. work authorization.
