Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct analysis of revenue and expense accounts while preparing variance reports.

• Oversee finance reporting across all business areas.

• Assist in the preparation of weekly projections and annual budgets.

• Gather, track, and model financial data to support decision-making.

• Evaluate outcomes, monitor variances, identify trends, and suggest actions to management.

• Facilitate weekly Flash and Annual budgeting processes.

• Compare actual results with plans and forecasts to assess financial positions.

• Provide insights on trends and forecasts.

• Create automated tools for reporting and forecasting purposes.

• Foster and maintain relationships across different divisions.

• Utilize Oracle SmartView and Oracle Cloud EPM for financial reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced lookup functions (XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH), conditional logic (IF, IFS, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS), and dynamic cell linking.

• Strong experience in financial modeling.

• Comprehensive knowledge of financial processes, systems, and controls, with a focus on documenting these processes.

• Capability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision while managing multiple projects.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.

• Candidates must reside in CO, FL, IL, MA, MN, OH, OK, PA, or TX.

• Must be willing to undergo and pass the necessary pre-employment background checks.

• Willingness to travel 10–25%, which may include trips to Denver.
