SQL Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute and supervise systems analysis, design, and development ranging from simple to intricate.

• Act as an individual contributor on sophisticated projects.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of the applications being supported.

• Guide and oversee less experienced team members while coordinating development tasks.

• Develop and manage the technical aspects of project plans.

• Engage in systems development tasks from technical analysis to user acceptance testing.

• Prepare and evaluate test data, carry out detailed test plans, and resolve debugging issues.

• Assess interconnections between programs, interfacing applications, and platforms.

• Offer analytical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing IT solutions.

• Prepare and review both technical and functional specifications as well as systems documentation.

• Create assessments that include necessary tasks, timelines, and effort estimations.

• Ensure the effective operation and efficiency of supported applications.

• Suggest technologies, policies, and processes; participate in vendor software evaluations.

• Adhere to and advocate for development standards and procedures.

• Support business comprehension and strategic objectives.

• Assist with both expense and capital budgeting.

• Comply with risk, regulatory, and internal control standards while escalating any risk issues.

• Execute internal and external audit recommendations and address any issues raised by regulators.

• Perform related responsibilities, including due diligence, cost/benefit analysis, and business studies.

• Operate under the guidance of the Technology Team Lead and independently manage high-level systems analysis and technical development phases.

• Oversee project activities and monitor the performance of staff.

• Collaborate with senior management, technology teams, clients, and vendors.

• Provide support to higher management and act as a technical representative on committees or ad-hoc projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of an Associate's degree along with 5 years of experience in systems analysis/application development, or alternatively, a combined total of 7 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 5 years in systems analysis/application development.

• Familiarity with application development software and hardware platforms.

• Proficient in using personal computers, project management software, word processing software, and spreadsheet software.

• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with prior experience presenting to relevant audiences.

• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.

• Detail-oriented approach.

• Strong lateral thinking capabilities.

• Experience in coordinating between Applications and business units.

• Proven experience in recommending and implementing systems solutions.

• Experience in driving project milestones and adhering to delivery timelines.

• Good understanding of the Bank's application framework.

• Subject matter expertise in the supported business and application/system.

• Advanced knowledge of supported applications and integrated/interfacing applications.

• Ability to work in both a team setting and independently.

• Capability to multitask across various components of complex projects.

• Advanced understanding of the entire system to handle projects beyond standard business-as-usual activities.
