📋 Description

• Assist the Special Education Coordinator in ensuring the Special Education Program meets its objectives and adheres to relevant guidelines, as well as state and federal regulations.

• Contribute to the formulation and execution of Special Education policies and procedures.

• Aid in creating and implementing a results-driven program design that aligns with the K12 curriculum.

• Support the evaluation of Special Education teachers to ensure they fulfill required standards and expectations.

• Facilitate the promotion of teacher professional development through training initiatives.

• Help with the documentation required for Special Education compliance relating to students and program mandates.

• Assist in the development and distribution of best practices for Special Education within the virtual school environment.

• Travel for testing, professional development, and meetings as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate along with two (2) years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Knowledge of state standards along with state and federal regulations.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Willingness to travel 20% of the time for testing, professional development, and meetings.

• Must pass the required background check.

• Applicants should be prepared and eligible to obtain Ohio Certification.

• Preference for Ohio residents; applicants from Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Indiana may be considered if they reside within one hundred miles of the Ohio border.

• Prior experience in Special Education is preferred.

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
