This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +2 more states.
• Implement AbbVie brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the assigned territory and manage targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations.
• Address objections and create calls to action to successfully close sales calls.
• Attend to customer needs while fostering trustworthy customer relationships.
• Design and execute call plans to optimize customer coverage and frequency.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, market dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales strategies.
• Distribute market intelligence to field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition for healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• If lacking a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sector is preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrated success in sales with strong presentation skills.
• Knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain necessary credentials.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving standards.
• Willingness to travel as needed to cover the territory and attend overnight training events and sales meetings.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
