This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Oversee designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate robust customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Achieve sales targets, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and conduct post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to drive actions that lead to successful sales closures.
• Meet customer needs and expectations to foster trusted relationships and secure mutually beneficial agreements.
• Create and implement call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales expertise.
• Share market insights with field teams, brand teams, sales teams, and sales management.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with designated healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Travel roughly 25% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant industry experience is required.
• If a bachelor’s degree is not held: a minimum of five (5) years of experience, including three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector is preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrated success in sales and strong presentation skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen with proficient business tool utilization.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix organization.
• Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written.
• Fulfill healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or local licenses.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain necessary HCIR credentials.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Capable of passing a pre-employment drug screening test and meeting safe driving standards.
• Ability to travel sufficiently to cover the territory, which includes overnight attendance at scheduled training events and sales meetings.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company vehicle, or powered material-handling equipment.
