This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections, concerns, and misunderstandings while securing calls to action to finalize sales calls.
• Address customer needs and expectations, fostering trusted customer relationships.
• Create and execute call plans to maximize customer coverage, frequency, access, and sales opportunities.
• Enhance knowledge of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales practices.
• Share market intelligence with field teams, brand teams, and sales teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Travel approximately 20% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred.
• Relevant industry experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience, with at least three years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry is preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A proven history of success in sales is essential.
• Excellent presentation skills are necessary.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge is required.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency in business tools are essential.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills are necessary.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment is required.
• Capability to establish collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams is vital.
• HCIR credentialing requirements may include background checks, drug screens, proof of immunizations/vaccinations, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain the necessary HCIR credentials.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards is necessary.
• Must be able to travel adequately to cover the territory, including overnight training events and sales meetings.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing, is required for non-English-speaking countries.
