This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland, +2 more countries.
• Cultivate and expand Cloudera’s Sovereign Cloud initiatives across the EMEA region.
• Act as a sales authority and trusted consultant for EMEA field sales teams.
• Establish commercial partnerships with Sovereign Cloud providers and their customers.
• Oversee the deployment and marketplace listings for Cloudera's offerings.
• Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams, including Legal, Solutions Engineering, Engineering, Marketing, and others.
• Guide Sovereign Cloud discovery sessions, whiteboarding, and value discussions with client personas and business line owners.
• Propel Sovereign Cloud sales strategies, execution of sales plays, partner enablement, and pipeline development throughout EMEA.
• Manage and take ownership of sourced and influenced Sovereign Cloud pipeline, bookings, and regional forecasting.
• Generate additional revenue through the adoption and utilization of Sovereign Cloud.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise software, cloud, or data sales (including AE, overlays, or specialist roles).
• Demonstrated success in handling complex, multi-stakeholder transactions.
• Established background in initiating, shaping, and closing deals in Cloud, Data, AI/ML, Analytics, or related fields.
• Proven ability to manage and enhance cloud or similar offerings among a defined set of customers and partners.
• Capacity to confidently discuss Sovereign Cloud regulations, the nuances of sovereignty, market dynamics, competitors, and Cloudera’s ecosystem positioning.
• Strong prospecting abilities to create new opportunities through accounts, partners, and existing customers.
• Experience in co-selling alongside AEs, SEs, CSMs, and partners.
• Exceptional executive-level communication skills with the ability to link AI to business outcomes.
• Practical knowledge of the big data ecosystem, which includes data warehousing, data engineering, data in motion, operational databases, and/or machine learning technologies.
