
Sovereign Cloud Sales Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria, +2 more countries.
• Define and expand Cloudera's sovereign cloud prospects within the EMEA region.
• Assist sovereign cloud providers and clients in selecting and implementing Cloudera AI and Cloud technologies.
• Act as a thought leader and reliable advisor for EMEA field sales teams.
• Establish commercial relationships that lead to the deployment of Cloudera solutions and marketplace listings.
• Deliver Cloudera solutions with key sovereign cloud providers and bring them to market.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Sales Engineering, Engineering, Marketing, and other teams.
• Serve as the sovereign cloud sales expert for strategic and enterprise accounts.
• Lead sovereign cloud discovery sessions, whiteboarding, and value discussions with client personas and line-of-business leaders.
• Propel sovereign cloud sales initiatives across EMEA, including sales play execution, partner enablement, and pipeline development.
• Take ownership of and manage the sovereign cloud pipeline, bookings, and regional forecasting.
• Generate additional revenue through the adoption and utilization of sovereign cloud services.
• Over 10 years of experience in enterprise software, cloud, or data sales (AE, overlays, or specialist roles), with a proven track record in complex, multi-stakeholder transactions.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, shape, and finalize deals in Cloud, Data, AI/ML, Analytics, or related fields.
• Established experience in managing and expanding cloud or similar offerings among a defined set of customers and partners.
• Capability to credibly discuss sovereign cloud regulations, variations in sovereignty definitions, market competitors, and Cloudera’s positioning within the ecosystem.
• Strong prospecting skills to generate new opportunities across accounts, partners, and existing client bases.
• Understanding of how AEs, SEs, CSMs, and partners operate, with the ability to co-sell effectively.
• Excellent communication skills at the executive level, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and relate AI to business outcomes.
• Practical knowledge of the big data ecosystem, including data warehousing, data engineering, data in motion, operational databases, and/or machine learning technologies.
• Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial setting.
