Sourcing and Procurement Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold a detailed understanding of Canadian cultivators and the flower available for Budbase’s international markets.

• Seek out and connect with Canadian cultivators, including onboarding new suppliers.

• Keep up-to-date information on supplier offerings, capacity, quality, availability, and indicative pricing.

• Collaborate with teams in Australia, the UK, and other markets to comprehend product specifications and identify appropriate flower.

• Organize samples, product information, and quality documentation for assessment.

• Document supplier interactions, opportunities, samples, decisions, and subsequent steps.

• Follow up with suppliers to ensure that promising products do not lose momentum.

• Transform approved demand plans and sourcing decisions into purchase orders specific to suppliers.

• Issue, modify, and monitor purchase orders with cultivators and EU GMP processing partners.

• Validate supply, testing, processing, and shipping milestones.

• Report changes, delays, and gaps promptly with relevant decision-making information.

• Present qualified supply alternatives and manage procurement details until delivery.

• Must reside in the Greater Toronto Area.

• Must possess authorization to work in Canada.

• Ability to work evenings to align with Australia’s time zone.

• Willingness and capability to travel approximately 20% of the time.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Capacity to identify and engage with Canadian cultivators and suppliers.

• Ability to evaluate products, capacity, quality, availability, and indicative pricing.

• Competence in coordinating samples, product information, and quality documentation.

• Skill in issuing, amending, and tracking purchase orders.

• Proficiency in monitoring supply, testing, processing, and shipping milestones.
