This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee category strategy, management, and commercialization support for Once Upon a Farm’s Baby Portfolio.

• Formulate annual growth strategies for the category that align with the company's goals.

• Act as a category expert, utilizing insights from consumers, shoppers, retailers, syndication data, and market analysis.

• Create category visions, narratives, playbooks, and tailored recommendations for customers.

• Lead category reviews and present data-driven category stories to influence customer decisions.

• Establish relationships with Sales teams and retail category managers to pursue Category Captaincy through Joint Business Planning.

• Identify opportunities for whitespace, optimize assortments, and prioritize portfolio growth.

• Develop and implement strategies across the 4Ps: Product, Price, Place, and Promotion.

• Shape strategies related to portfolio architecture, assortment, pricing, distribution, shelving, and customer activation.

• Represent the sales perspective throughout the commercialization of innovations.

• Guide strategies for commercialization, launch plans, distribution targets, and retail selling initiatives.

• Assist in ensuring readiness for launches and meeting commercialization milestones.

• Align commercialization strategies with customer plans and forecasts.

• Track performance post-launch and gather insights for future initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Category Management, Category Development, Commercial Strategy, Sales Strategy, or similar roles within the CPG industry.

• Demonstrated success in developing and executing category growth strategies that enhance market share, distribution, retailer collaboration, and revenue growth.

• Proficient in utilizing syndicated data such as Circana/IRI, NielsenIQ, SPINS, Numerator, retailer POS, and shopper insights.

• Experience in crafting customer-facing category narratives and retailer presentations.

• Strong grasp of category management concepts, shopper behavior, and consumer insights.

• Experience in supporting innovation commercialization and portfolio strategy across various functions.

• Familiarity with the 4Ps across retail channels.

• Outstanding analytical skills with the capability to convert complex data into actionable insights.

• Strong project management and organizational abilities; capacity to handle multiple priorities effectively.

• Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.

• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• Capacity to lead amid uncertainty, prioritize effectively, and drive results in a rapidly evolving, high-growth environment.

• A passion for consumer-driven, category-leading businesses and commercial excellence.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Enthusiasm for enhancing childhood nutrition.

• Must be a resident of the United States.
