Solutions Engineer – Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Clearly communicate the F5 product strategy, messaging, positioning, value proposition, and solutions aligned with customer business objectives.

• Offer technical expertise through sales presentations, solution designs, demonstrations, and proofs of concept via both in-person and virtual formats, including whiteboards.

• Mentor and educate sales teams about the advantages of F5 solutions and the driving business factors.

• Assess opportunity viability and analyze organizational structures.

• Collaborate with the Account Manager to drive the sales process by identifying the Technical Decision Maker and obtaining technical validation, support, and sponsorship.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the entire customer life cycle.

• Work with internal technical and sales teams, sharing best practices and updates while offering and seeking expertise across various opportunities.

• Assist sales teams with technical skills and deliver in-depth knowledge about F5 solutions.

• Meet the assigned sales target and effectively sell relevant F5 solutions and products to major Service Providers in North America.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BS/BA degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems) or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience as a Sales Engineer.

• Familiarity with traffic management and load-balancing technologies, such as F5, Citrix, Riverbed, Kemp, or others.

• Understanding of HTTP, web servers, and web applications.

• Knowledge of related protocols, including TCP/IP, WebSocket, SPDY/HTTP2, SSL, SMTP, POP, DNS, etc.

• Proficient in Linux-/UNIX-based systems.

• Expertise in networking technologies and Internet security products and services.

• Experience with major cloud providers (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, etc.).

• Knowledge or experience in microservices architecture, systems, and tools (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).

• Background in API development and/or management.

• Experience in a DevOps environment, with an understanding of tools, processes, and culture.

• Experience working with enterprise clients in the financial services sector.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
