Senior Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist the sales team by leveraging technical expertise and providing in-depth knowledge of F5 solutions.

• Meet the assigned sales targets by marketing relevant F5 solutions and products across North America.

• Serve as a trusted advisor by comprehending customers’ technical and business challenges and recommending effective solutions.

• Clearly communicate F5 product strategy, messaging, positioning, value proposition, and solutions tailored to customer business goals.

• Deliver technical expertise through sales presentations, solution designs, demonstrations, and proofs of concept via both in-person and virtual formats, including whiteboards.

• Guide and educate sales teams on the advantages of F5 solutions and related business drivers.

• Assess opportunity viability and analyze organizational structures.

• Propel the sales process alongside the Account Manager by identifying and securing validation, support, and sponsorship from technical decision-makers.

• Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the entire customer lifecycle.

• Collaborate with internal technical and sales teams, sharing best practices, updates, and expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems) or equivalent experience.

• Previous experience as a Sales Engineer.

• Familiarity with traffic management and load-balancing technologies, such as F5, Citrix, Riverbed, Kemp, or similar.

• Understanding of HTTP, web servers, and web applications.

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, WebSocket, SPDY/HTTP2, SSL, SMTP, POP, DNS, and related protocols.

• Proficiency in Linux-/UNIX-based systems.

• Expertise in networking technologies and internet security products and services.

• Experience with cloud service providers like GCP, AWS, and Azure.

• Knowledge or experience with microservices architecture, systems, and tools, including Kubernetes and Docker.

• Background in API development and/or management.

• Experience in a DevOps setting.

• Proven track record of working with enterprise clients in the financial services sector.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience is required.
