Solutions Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Clearly define the product strategy, messaging, and positioning of F5’s value proposition and solutions in alignment with customer business objectives.

• Deliver technical expertise through sales presentations, solution designs, demonstrations, and proofs of concept, whether in-person or via virtual platforms and whiteboards.

• Guide and educate sales teams on the benefits of F5 solutions and the underlying business drivers.

• Assess the viability of opportunities and analyze organizational structures.

• Collaborate with the Account Manager to drive the sales process by identifying the Technical Decision Maker and securing necessary technical validation, support, and sponsorship.

• Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the entire customer lifecycle.

• Work in partnership with internal technical and sales resources, exchanging best practices and updates, while providing or seeking expertise across various opportunities.

• Assist sales teams by offering technical skills and in-depth knowledge of F5 solutions.

• Meet assigned sales targets and promote relevant F5 products and solutions to major Service Providers in North America.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems) or equivalent professional experience.

• Proven experience as a Sales Engineer.

• Familiarity with traffic management and load-balancing technologies, such as F5, Citrix, Riverbed, Kemp, among others.

• Understanding of HTTP, web servers, and web applications.

• Proficiency in associated protocols, including TCP/IP, WebSocket, SPDY/HTTP2, SSL, SMTP, POP, DNS, etc.

• Experience with Linux-/UNIX-based systems.

• Knowledge of networking technologies and Internet security products and services.

• Experience with cloud service providers (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.).

• Familiarity with microservices architecture, systems, and tools (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).

• Experience in API development and/or management.

• Background in a DevOps environment, with an understanding of relevant tools, processes, and culture.

• Experience working with enterprise customers in the financial services sector.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is essential.

• Knowledge of intelligent load balancing.

• Experience in application acceleration.

• Expertise in application request routing.

• Proficiency in web serving.

• Familiarity with dynamic content caching.

• Experience with SSL and compression offload.
