Solutions Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute project tasks within the Integris Professional Services department.

• Take ownership of solution implementations for both internal and external clients.

• Adhere to project timelines and produce necessary Integris documentation.

• Act as the primary engineer for customer projects.

• Engage in the creation of standards, automation processes, product assessments, and technology evaluations.

• Communicate project milestones effectively with project management, clients, and internal service teams.

• Lead the planning and execution of Exchange and SharePoint migrations, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations.

• Design migration strategies, implement secure configurations, and validate performance for tenant-to-tenant and Azure infrastructure migrations.

• Configure VLANs, firewalls, and switches; diagnose and resolve complex connectivity problems.

• Oversee VMware and Hyper-V environments, focusing on resource optimization and failover strategies.

• Manage Active Directory restructuring and oversee domain controller and file share migrations with minimal downtime.

• Serve as the escalation point for account setup during onboarding and ensure adherence to security standards.

• Maintain the skills matrix competencies as outlined by the manager.

• Ensure project client satisfaction aligns with company objectives.

• Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and colleagues to ensure successful implementation of technology solutions.

• Guarantee that project tasks and deliverables are completed while fulfilling client technical requirements, utilizing specialized resources when necessary while retaining project ownership.

• Work together with colleagues, serving as a technical resource, mentor, and primary escalation point for Professional Services technical personnel.

• Develop system requirements standards and advance automation and process improvements.

• Document technical activities for client billing and ongoing support.

• Ensure project deliverables satisfy quality standards.

• Lead the development and documentation of project deployment standards.

• Travel locally or nationally up to 20% of the time to support project implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a business or computer-related field, or equivalent education/experience.

• Must possess or complete AZ-305, CCNP, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, VCP, Azure Solution Architect, M365 Enterprise Expert Admin, FCSS in Network Security or Network Security Essential for Cloud-Managed Fireboxes, or equivalent proven experience.

• Over 4 years of experience in Information Technology.

• Experience with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) is preferred.

• 1–2 years of experience in project implementation.

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Server Administration, Implementation, and Migrations.

• Moderate to extensive knowledge of mainstream virtualization technologies, with 1–2 years of hands-on experience migrating between them.

• Moderate to extensive knowledge of server operating systems and best-practice configurations, as well as 1–3 years of hands-on deep troubleshooting experience in those environments.

• Moderate understanding of networking infrastructure best practices, including VLAN, firewall, switching, Layer 3 routing, and managed networking appliances.

• Capable of deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting firewalls, while managing switches, wireless controllers, and WAPs.

• Moderate knowledge of and 1–2 years of hands-on experience with enterprise backup solutions, including SANs and both on-premises and off-premises backup solutions.

• Familiarity with ITIL concepts.
