Solutions Engineer, AI Build Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of strategic proof-of-concept projects from initial customer commitment to activation.

• Collaborate with customer engineers and technical leadership to comprehend workflows and quickly prototype solutions.

• Create solutions that incorporate multiple Stripe products.

• Assess whether obstacles necessitate configuration adjustments, integration efforts, custom development, or modifications to core products.

• Manage challenges posed by incomplete products, shifting requirements, and interoperability issues.

• Convert customer requirements and deployment challenges into actionable product specifications.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence the development of cutting-edge products.

• Coordinate with account teams, Solutions Architects, product and engineering departments, Professional Services, and post-sales resources.

• Transform successful customer engagements into reusable prototypes, reference architectures, implementation playbooks, and solution components.

• Stay informed about emerging AI companies, their products, business models, and technical advancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of relevant experience in customer-facing technical delivery, solutions engineering, implementation, technical product management, or a similar field.

• Proven experience managing complex customer engagements from discovery and solution design through to implementation or activation, covering both pre- and post-sales phases.

• Demonstrated success in ambiguous, 0→1 environments where established products, integrations, or implementation patterns were not yet available.

• Strong comprehension of APIs, integrations, application architecture, and data flows.

• Ability to quickly prototype using modern AI coding frameworks and development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.

• Proficient in one or more relevant programming languages, including Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Ruby.

• Capability to cultivate trusted relationships with customer engineers, technical leaders, founders, and senior stakeholders.

• Ability to lead through influence across sales, product, engineering, implementation, and post-sales teams.

• Experience operating at the pace of startups and within Slack-first, rapidly evolving environments.
