This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Act as the senior authority on SAP data migration for the client and serve as a technical peer to the data lead of the System Integrator.
• Evaluate and challenge the data migration strategy proposed by the System Integrator, providing guidance on migration architecture and tool selection.
• Oversee the daily execution of the client-side data workstream across all relevant domains.
• Manage the migration task plan, monitor deliverables, highlight any delays, and facilitate resolution.
• Conduct working sessions with client data owners and the integrator team; document actions, decisions, and deliverables.
• Establish and oversee data-cleansing standards, while coordinating cleansing schedules.
• Identify potential data-quality risks, including absent legacy concepts, transformation data loss, and dependencies across domains.
• Organize and monitor mock load cycles, conduct independent reviews of reconciliation results, and ensure that validation findings are addressed.
• Ensure adherence to data classification policies and relevant regulatory requirements throughout the migration process.
• Maintain the cutover plan and coordinate the scheduling of data extraction and loading.
• Prepare data-readiness information for go/no-go decisions and provide independent risk assessments to program leadership.
• Assist with hypercare support for data-related issues following the go-live phase.
• Facilitate migration status reporting and maintain RAID logs.
• Master's degree.
• Over 20 years of experience leading enterprise SAP data migration workstreams.
• Minimum of 4 full-lifecycle S/4HANA programs completed from start to finish, with greenfield experience preferred.
• Experience managing the data workstream with a major System Integrator on large, complex programs, followed by advisory roles on the client side.
• Extensive hands-on experience in migrating data from non-SAP sources into SAP.
• Enterprise migration experience in areas such as Finance (FI/CO), Supply Chain (MM, SD, PP, WM), HR/HCM, Plant Maintenance/EAM, and Master Data.
• Proficient in various migration toolsets.
• Capability to engage with System Integrator leadership as a technical peer and manage escalations and delivery decisions.
• Hands-on advisory experience in conducting working sessions, tracking actions, and managing plans.
• Comprehensive understanding of S/4HANA data models, business partner concepts, universal journal, material ledger, and structural changes in legacy ERP systems.
• Strong foundation in ETL design, staging strategies, reconciliation processes, cutover sequencing, fallback planning, and hypercare data support.
• Experience in regulated industries with practical knowledge of HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GDPR, FedRAMP, or similar frameworks.
• Ability to convert compliance requirements into data migration controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred experience with Oracle EBS as a source system.
• Familiarity with SAP Business Data Cloud is desirable.
• Experience with platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, or similar is preferred.
• SAP certifications are a plus.
• Experience in regulated sectors such as financial services, healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or government is preferred.
