Senior DevSecOps Automation Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with client technical and business stakeholders on a significant mainframe modernization project.

• Develop and articulate DevSecOps automation strategies that align with legacy-to-cloud modernization objectives and customer mission requirements.

• Create technical briefings, modernization roadmaps, and reusable solution artifacts for customers.

• Mentor engineering teams and client staff on modernizing CI/CD pipelines, integrating security, automating testing, and deploying to the cloud.

• Analyze legacy mainframe workflows and plan prototype implementations to showcase modernization feasibility and its benefits.

• Monitor modernization progress and facilitate continuous enhancements across development, deployment, security, and monitoring workflows.

• Define the technical roadmap and spearhead solution development.

• Direct engineering teams in utilizing modern DevSecOps methodologies that promote reliability, security, and scalability.

• Report directly to the Chief Architect.

• Contribute to mission-critical operational modernization achievements for a major federal client.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree is preferred.

• Over 10 years of experience in software development.

• At least 5 years of experience in DevSecOps CI/CD.

• A minimum of 3 years developing cloud-native software solutions.

• Relevant certifications in software development, DevSecOps, or cloud-native architecture.

• Proficient in DevSecOps automation, Agile/Lean delivery, and enterprise-scale CI/CD tooling.

• Familiarity with tools such as GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Sonatype, New Relic, Dynatrace, or equivalent.

• Practical experience in designing and supporting cloud-native architectures, containerized microservices, API-driven interfaces, and event-driven systems.

• Strong foundation in application containerization and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

• Expertise in Java, .NET, Node.js, Spring, Angular, React, JSON, or similar technologies.

• Experience managing large datasets, data migration strategies, and analytics workflows aligned with modernization.

• Previous work assisting federal clients in adopting cloud-native architectures and services is preferred.

• Capability to onboard teams into modern DevSecOps pipelines and enhance automation adoption is preferred.

• Experience in scaling high-performance engineering solutions for both structured and unstructured data is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills and comfort in engaging directly with customer stakeholders is preferred.

• Travel is required at less than 10%.
